Mambo Cuban Restaurant & Lounge: Discover the Best Cuban Cuisine in Union, NJ

We celebrated my mom’s 53rd bday and we had an amazing time. Our waiter JR was excellent ! He provided great service from beginning to end. His peers also helped and sang happy birthday. The food is delicious ! The passion fruit sangria is amazing as well. I can’t wait to visit again. Truly THE BEST customer service I received in a long time dining out. Thank you ! <3 you guys made my moms day !

i ordered the smoking cocktail… i forgot what it was but the presentation was fun… the wife ordered the mambo fresh cocktail was it? both were great… we also ordered the mambo sampler which was really good… bandeja cubano which i only liked the dark rice… was not anfan of the solid bones of the meat still being served.. it threw me off… also ordered the whole snapper which we believe was cooked from frozen but still good… i can tell you that the service was awesome though…

Arrived and valet takes your car. Was greeted by concierge and they were fast friendly and courteous. Did not have reservations but got seated in 10 minutes on a Friday night. Getting drinks was fast. The food didn’t take long at all. The taste was very pleasant and great portions.

We love the food, chef's kiss! The place had good vibes. The only thing is it's a tight fit with all the tables, but other than that, no complaints. We'll be back again!

Service was attentive and friendly from start to finish, which definitely added to the overall experience. The food had its highlights, though there were a few areas for improvement. The fried pork chunks, while cooked well, were a little dry and lacked some seasoning or bold flavors that would have made them stand out more. The corn fritters were decent — slightly crispy on the outside with a soft interior, making for a nice bite. The tostones cups, while a fun idea, felt a bit too small to fully enjoy the toppings, leaving me wanting a bit more substance in each bite. One of the standouts of the evening was the Hennessy sangria — it was delicious, smooth, and had just the right amount of kick to make it memorable without overpowering the meal. It paired nicely with the dishes and was definitely a highlight. Overall, it’s a great spot for a casual dinner, a family celebration, or even a date night. While there are a few things they could fine-tune on the menu, the inviting atmosphere, attentive service, and solid drink options make it a place worth visiting.

It was a very enjoyable experience, for the most part. The decor is colorful and appealing. The atmosphere was bouncy and fun, with Cuban inspired music. The staff was extremely pleasant, accommodating, and attentive. The food was delicious. We ordered the stuffed avocado and the combo plate for appetizers, to which my wife said she wouldn't need dinner. I ordered the Mambo Chicken and was very glad I did. We split a Tres Leiches? cake for desert, which was decadent. The only downside to the evening was the numerous renditions of Happy Birthday for those who were celebrating their birthday, including us, since we were there for my wife's birthday. My wife mentioned to our server that it was her birthday when we arrived, so when we ordered the desert, it was on. My wife enjoyed herself immensely, which is the important part of the whole thing. All in all, so did I. Will definitely be back.

First time here and wowww, it was an incredible experience! Great decor right as you walk up the steps and into a lively foyer and dining space. The service was impeccable and for a Saturday night, that’s saying something. Drinks were great! Shared the white wine sangria pitcher and some got mojitos of course. We shared the Mambo platter for an app, and honestly could have gotten 2 for the 6 people sharing but we didn’t want to go overboard. The main courses were super yummy. The seafood paella was soooo good! Everyone enjoyed their choice and the portions sizes were big enough for leftovers. We saved room for dessert, and how fun is the staff doing a birthday song?! It’s just a fun, lively vibe in there all night long. The flan was awesome, not too sweet. I liked the tres leches but it wasn’t my fav. This was the perfect spot for a celebration. We all had a fun time and enjoyed ourselves! Remember to save cash to tip the valet on the way out too
